I am a father, grandfather and practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. I met and married my wife during my first year of studies at BYU in Provo, Utah. I graduated from BYU with a degree in microbiology. We then moved to Southern California where I studied to become a dentist at the USC school of dentistry. Upon completion of my dental degree I continued my schooling at the Los Angeles County Medical Center where I trained to be an Oral Surgeon. We opened our practice in Southern California in 1990 and have been living and practicing here ever since.

Our favorite vacations have been those where we traveled as a family to provide service to others. We have provided oral surgery care in Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, Belize, Guatemala and Mexico. In my free time, which there never seems to be enough of, I enjoy reading fantasy adventures and writing about anything that comes to mind. When our children were still small my quiet writing time was almost exclusively very late at night. Now that our children are all grown up, married and have moved away I still find that my best writing happens late at night.
